Resident Retreat 2012

This time every year through out residency we have attended the resident retreat.  Since Doug is a Senior Chief Resident it was our year to host it.  We stayed at this cute little community called Seabrook on the Washington coast.  It was a great time to relax and get to know all the other residents and their families better.

Every one arrived on Friday night, ate dinner at their own cottages, and then came over to the Chiefs house.  We had some food set up to munch on and of course plenty of alcohol to drink.

On Saturday we recovered from Friday night and watched college football.  Around 2 everyone headed to the bowling alley for the next few hours.  After everyone was finished bowling we came back and ate dinner at our place.  This year we had so many residents, staff and their families running around!  I was worried that we didn’t get enough food to feed everybody.  We served  BBQ from this great little place in Olympia.  I made my homemade mac and cheese and baked beans for our side dishes.  I made these awesome pudding cookies for dessert.  I hope everyone got enough to eat.  Saturday night was filled with beer pong and karaoke.

Everyone packed up and left on Sunday.  It was a little bitter sweet to leave because we know that this will be the last resident retreats that we attend.
