Where did the time go?

I might not have been keeping up with the blog, but I have been keeping up with Madigan's weekly pics.

Week 13

Week 14

Week 15

Week 16

Week 17

I missed posting her 3 months pics. So here they are...

This past weekend Madigan turned 4 months old! Where is the time going? She is a busy little girl that loves playing on her play mat. She smiles at everyone that walks by. She is a super healthy little girl! She weighs 15 lbs 10oz in the 85th %tile and 24 1/2 inches long in the 58th %tile. She sleeps most of the night only waking up around 4 to eat and then she goes right back to sleep until 7.

We spent the last week at the beach. This little girl loves swimming in the pool.

I still have been passing the time at home by decorating and organizing the house. Most of my days fly by.

Some days I feel like I spend most of my day getting Madigan to sleep. She isn't the best nap taker. She sleeps for about thirty minutes at a time. Then I come in and have to rock her back to sleep. Sometimes I finally get her back to sleep only to have to wake her up a little later to feed her. Oh the problems of a stay at home mom. ;)

Hopefully I can get back on the blogging train and keep this thing up to date.

Life with Baby Week 12

We had a very busy Labor Day weekend! On Friday we left for Atlanta right after Doug rounded on his patients. The drive to Atlanta isn't really that bad but with a 12 week old and blowout diapers it can take forever! We saw a lot of peeps in two days. We are so glad that we are close enough to home now and can just drive home for a short trip.
We spent Friday afternoon/evening with grandma Ellie and Madigan's cousins. I didn't take any pictures. :(

On Saturday morning we got all dressed up to go and see Madigan's new friend for the first time.

We traveled to Woodstock to see Julie and meet her new baby Sam. He is two weeks old and Madigan looked huge compared to him. They will be friends forever!

After visiting Julie, Sam, and Drew we went to the pool with the Reas. Madigan loves the water.

On Saturday night we put on our UGA attire to cheer on the dawgs!

The dawgs didn't look so hot and lost to Clemson, but there is always next week.

Sunday morning we went to Kennesaw to visit with Brittney and see her two adorable little girls. It is so fun to see all my friends and their babies!!!

We left Atlanta on Sunday afternoon to head back home because Monday was the opening day for dove hunting and Doug was not missing it. He has found a place to hunt that is only a few minutes from our house. He woke up super early on Monday to hit the fields. He came home Monday afternoon with four birds and a sunburn.

While Doug was out hunting Madigan and I were hanging out at home and she rolled over for the first time!!! She rolled over once more when Doug came home. I am so glad that he saw her do it the second time because I didn't think that he believed me. She doesn't roll over every time I put her on her tummy but I did manage to get a good video of her on Wednesday.

This little girl is growing up way too fast.

Life with Baby week 11

After my parents left myrtle beach on Friday Doug drove up to meet me and we stayed through the weekend. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach and by the pool.

We definitely have a water baby on our hands.

We have had a pretty low key week. I finally finished the picture over Madigan's crib that I have had on my to do list for a while now. I just love the saying.

We went on Tuesday for Madigan's two month check up. She weighs 12lbs 12oz and is almost 24 inches long. She also got three vaccines. I cried more than she did. After our appointment we went down to visit with daddy.

The shots only got to her for a day or two. She did a lot of sleeping on mommy.

After a while she was back to her smiley self.

We have a fun three day weekend ahead of us and we can't wait to see some friends and family.

Life with Baby Week 10

This is the first week that she has messed with the bunny during our little weekly photo shoot.

We spent this past week at the beach! Madigan and I traveled to Myrtle Beach with my parents. I keep telling Doug that I was on a “business trip” since he wasn’t with me, but I have to be honest and say that it was a great vacation because my parents watched Madigan a ton. I didn’t want her to get too much sun, but I on the other hand was trying to get a tan. Let’s face it…tan fat is way better looking than white fat. My parents would watch her while she napped and I would go lay out by the pool. We managed to bring along her swing and we are so glad that we brought it. This little girl loves her swing and spent the majority of her time at the beach in it!

We dipped her toes in the ocean and she wasn’t a big fan, but she did love swimming in the pool. I even managed to float her on her back for a bit.

This week Madigan has enjoyed sucking on her fist, drooling a little more, and sticking out her tongue. I believe that she has realized that she can control her tongue because she is sticking it out a lot more then she has in the past. Every time I see her sucking on her fist I cringe because I know that is one step closer for her to begin sucking on her thumb. She is super smiley in the morning and a little chatter box! I love our morning chats. She has the sweetest grin and it just makes me want to grin just as big right back at her!
