Lift Jockies

Today was our second day skiing in Whistler. We finished up all the runs on Blackcomb Mountain and decided to head on over to Whistler Mountain via the new Peak to Peak Gondola. It is suspended about 500 yards in the air. It spans 4.4 kilometers and takes about 11 minutes to cross. Here is a picture of us on it...

We had a much better time on Whistler Mountain because there were trails on which we had to dodge the trees. Most of the trails that we like on Blackcomb Mountain are above the tree line. We skiied all day minus about 45 minutes for lunch. I made Doug one of his favorites...Taco Soup! We are enjoying the rest of the daylight out in the hot tub and then we are having dinner in tonight and heading out to bars later.

As promised, here is a video of me skiing. I am not as fast as Doug so my ride down mountain takes a little longer!

This is a video of Doug videoing while he is skiing...you might want to turn the volume down because the wind gets pretty fierce.

The views out here are just amazing. Doug likes to video tape them, getting the whole panoramic view...
